The Prohibited Burning Period has been updated. It will now come into effect at 12:01am Friday, 10 November and run through to 31 March 2024.

Total Fire Ban and Harvest & Vehicle Movement Ban issued for Saturday 4 November 2023

THIS NOTICE HAS EXPIRED - DFES has declared a Total Fire Ban for the City of Kalamunda on Saturday, 4 November 2023. There is also a Harvest & Vehicle Movement Ban in the City of Kalamunda from 8:00am to 1:00pm on Saturday, 4 November 2023. This will be reviewed at 12:30pm on Saturday 4 November 2023. Please note: The Walliston Transfer Station is CLOSED during a Harvest & Vehicle Movement Ban.

Fire Hazard Assessments - 1 November 2023 to 31 March 2024

The works outlined in the annual Fire Hazard Reduction Notice must be completed by 1 November and maintained up to and including 31 March. The City’s Community Bushfire Preparedness Officers will undertake fire hazard assessments across all areas within the City starting with Paulls Valley, Hacketts Gully and parts of Gooseberry Hill.
