Volunteers make an extraordinary contribution to our community by actively enhancing significant community service programs such as Library Services, Environmental groups, Visitor Centre and Woodlupine Coffee Lounge.
All City of Kalamunda volunteers are police checked (this is paid by the organisation), orientated, placed according to skills, interests and expectations.
Volunteers can work across different programs or work through multiple programs to find the most suitable position for them.

Are you a bit of a history buff?
Volunteers of the History Village assist with the hands on activities for school students visiting the Village and the multitude of tasks which make it a local history museum of distinction.
If you would like to help out, have an interest in local history and like meeting people we would like to hear from you. Volunteers assist in maintaining exhibits and the grounds of the museum.
Volunteers are required weekdays and weekends. Full training is provided by the Kalamunda and Districts Historical Society.

Volunteers are utilised at the Jack Healey Centre in Kalamunda. We are seeking friendly volunteers to assist with Podiatry Services.

Do you want to connect with your Community? Are you passionate about helping people? Do you want to play a stronger role in the care and support of people as they age and reach the end of life?
The support we can provide as friends, family, neighbours and community members can give an unwell or dying person and their family much greater choices about where and how they want to be cared for up to and including their dying moments. These choices add greatly to their quality of life during this time.
This support can be a simple as putting out the bins, dropping of some milk, taking their dog for a walk, reading to the dying person or listening to their story.

The WayFairer Project work with individuals who want to contribute to community life, promoting the involvement of older residents and the development of a stronger Kalamunda community.
The WayFairer Project addresses two important community issues directly related to belonging in the City of Kalamunda.
The ageing population being better connected, contributing and having a greater sense of belonging in the Kalamunda community. Addressing the gaps and pressures across community based organisations
The WayFairer Project will strategically utilise the knowledge, talents, skills, experience and interests of residents aged 50 and above (WayFairers).

Passionate about where you live? Want to share your local knowledge with visitors to the area?
Why not consider volunteering at the Perth Hills Visitor Centre in Kalamunda. You will meet and greet visitors from near and far, helping them to get the most out of their visit to the Perth Hills.
The Centre also houses a boutique retail area which showcases artisan talents, and an art gallery, so practical duties can range from re-stocking brochures to making sales of local products and even assisting with merchandising! We have regular visits to venues and attractions in the area and have quarterly meetings/morning teas. The Visitor Centre already has a number of volunteers so you would soon become part of this friendly team.
We are currently only seeking volunteers to assist on the weekends; however, weekday shifts may become available in time. Full training is provided by our friendly staff.

We are seeking friendly volunteers to work in the Coffee Lounge which is open on Thursdays between 10am-12pm.
The Coffee Lounge is a place for community members to meet, make friends and find out more about the great range of activities available at the Woodlupine Family and Community Centre. Calling all young people aged 12 – 25!
If you are looking for an opportunity to contribute to your local community (and have some fun along the way) then go no further than Youth Action Kalamunda.
This group of young people work together to develop and run various youth events and activities throughout the City of Kalamunda. These include music concerts, competitions, events, film festivals and school holiday programs.
If you are an interested young person and would like to contribute then there are many opportunities to do so either through volunteering at one-off events, at our continuous engagement activities or by joining our youth council.
