APPROVED LOCAL PLANNING SCHEME AMENDMENT

City of Kalamunda

LOCAL PLANNING SCHEME No. 3 - AMENDMENT 117

It is hereby notified for public information, in accordance with section 87 of the Planning and Development Act 2005 that the Minister for Planning approved the City of Kalamunda Local Planning Scheme Amendment No. 117 on 8 December 2025 for the purpose of:

  1. Rezoning lots within the eight Structure Plans identified from ‘Urban Development’ to the designated zoning as depicted on the Structure Plan.
  2. Reclassify land within the eight Structure plans identified above from ‘Urban Development’ to ‘Local Open Space’ and ‘local road’.

As part of the City’s ongoing project to improve our planning framework, we have revoked some of our outdated structure plans. This transfers planning for areas previously Urban Development to the Local Planning Scheme.

Lots that were subject to zones defined by a revoked Structure Plan, will retain the same zone and R-Code in the Local Planning Scheme.

You can see a list of revoked Structure Plans on our Plans page.

The amendment report can be viewed via this link.

The new zoning can be viewed via the City’s online mapping service via this link.
