Essential maintenance works are currently underway to upgrade pool structures, tiles, and supporting infrastructure, ensuring the park is in top shape for the community. To allow time for these essential works, the Water Park season will shift slightly, with opening now scheduled for 1 December 2025.

For the first time, the City will trial an extended season, keeping the Water Park open until 19 April 2026. This move responds to community feedback that the park traditionally closes too early and aligns with warmer April temperatures and the Easter school holidays.

Mayor Margaret Thomas expressed her excitement for the season, stating “This extended season is all about giving families more time to enjoy the Water Park and creating even more opportunities for fun.”

“We’re excited to welcome everyone back for a refreshed experience and a longer summer of splash.”

Visitors can look forward to the return of popular events such as the Schools Out Pool Party and Australia Day event. Throughout the month of January, the pool and water slides will extend their opening hours to 7pm, giving everyone even more time for a thrilling slide! The kiosk will also be open, introducing a new slushie machine to help keep patrons cool.

The 50-metre pool has received an exciting upgrade with the installation of eight Olympic-style diving blocks, designed to help seasoned swimmers achieve their training goals.

The extended season trial is expected to boost visitation and revenue for the Water Park, while providing valuable insights into future seasonal planning.
