Community consultation is now open for current divestment projects. The City is considering offers to dispose of the following properties - 3 Urch Road, 12 McRae Road and 152 Carmel Road.

In 2023, the City of Kalamunda (City) commenced a review of its land assets, with a view to understand the various opportunities the potential sale of the land would present.

The review culminated in February 2025 when Council resolved at its Ordinary Meeting (OCM 24/2025) to commence with the sales process for its freehold land on Lot 8 (3) Urch Road, Kalamunda and Lot 7 (12) Mcrae Road, Kalamunda and Lot 23 (152) Carmel Road, Carmel (Subject Properties)

In July 2025, the City appointed Ray White Kalamunda as the selling agent for the subject properties through an Expression of Interest (EOI) process. The three-week selling period commenced on 20 August concluding on 10 September 2025.

At the conclusion of the selling period a total of 20 offers had been received across all three properties, with the selling agent recommending the following offers:

Disposal to sell land owned by the City of Kalamunda is regulated under S3.58 of the Local Government Act 1995 (Act). S3.58(2) of the Act establishes the City’s obligations as to the method of land disposal, i.e. EOI and s3.58(3) when community engagement is required to be undertaken by the City.

Following the conclusion of the selling period and in accordance with 3.58 of the Local Government Act 1995, the City is now seeking comments from the community to the proposed sale of the subject properties. More information and how to provide feedback can be found on the City's Engage page.
