We are seeking an experienced administrator who will support our WHS team in driving safety culture change. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to progress their career in this area. The successful person will work as part of a professional, knowledgeable, and committed team at the City of Kalamunda Operations Centre.
About this Opportunity
This position is responsible for providing a point of contact and a comprehensive administrative support service to the Work Health and Safety Officer as well as being knowledgeable and up to date on safety in the work environment.
It is highly regarded to have WHS qualifications (Certificate III or IV).

Selection Criteria
- A broad range of administrative and analytical experience.
- Possession of excellent communication skills both written and verbal, to be able to communicate effectively at appropriate levels within the City.
- Sound understanding of WHS legislation, policies, and practices.
- Demonstrated commitment to WHS practices through personal commitment, enthusiasm, and energy.
- Demonstrated capacity to work independently, with initiative and proactivity and be a committed, active, and supportive contributor in a team environment.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to following due process.
- Ability to prioritise tasks, and problem solve effectively.
- Proven experience in dealing with sensitive information and situations in a professional and confidential manner.
- Extensive competence and knowledge of the Microsoft Office applications.
- 1Knowledge of ChemAlert Library highly regarded.
Hours of Work
This is a full-time permanent position working Monday to Friday, 75 hours a fortnight, with an option for a fortnightly or monthly rostered day off.
About the Benefits
The salary range for this position is $82,740 - $87,952 per annum (depending on qualifications and experience), plus superannuation.
