About this Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to join the City’s People & Culture team in a dynamic Learning & Development Advisor role. Working across the organisation, you will provide high-quality coordination, administrative and operational support for key learning and development activities. Supporting the Organisational Development Specialist and working under the direction of the Manager People & Culture, you will assist in the delivery of capability, culture and leadership programs that enhance employee performance and engagement. This role plays a vital part in ensuring learning initiatives align with organisational goals, compliance requirements and a positive employee experience throughout the employment lifecycle.
Key Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinate the scheduling, logistics and communication of learning and development programs, workshops, leadership initiatives and induction activities.
- Provide operational and administrative support for organisation-wide learning systems, including maintenance of accurate training records and compliance reporting.
- Support the delivery of capability, culture and leadership programs in partnership with the Organisational Development Specialist.
- Assist in the development, review and maintenance of training resources, induction materials and learning communications.
- Maintain staff training databases, skills matrices, dashboards and reporting tools to support organisational capability planning.
- Monitor and manage mandatory training, certifications and licence compliance across the City.
- Support evaluation and continuous improvement of learning and development initiatives through data analysis, surveys and reporting.
- Assist with employee engagement initiatives, knowledge-management tools and organisational development projects.
- Facilitate and co-facilitate workshops and learning activities as required.
- Provide general administrative support to the People & Culture team to ensure effective service delivery.

Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated experience in coordinating training, L&D programs or administrative HR functions.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise concurrent activities.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Accurate data management and experience with learning systems or HRIS (or ability to learn quickly).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, use discretion and manage sensitive information.
Hours of Work
This is a 6 month fixed term full-time contract (which may be extended) working Monday to Friday, 75 hours per fortnight. Flexible work arrangements are available, with the option of a 9-day fortnight.
About the Benefits
This position offers a salary of Level 7 being $102,391.49 – $108,637.34 per annum, (depending on experience and skill level) plus superannuation.
