Local Government Elections 2025

Local Government Elections will be held on Saturday 18 October 2025.

There are five (5) vacancies up for election. These positions are:

  • North Ward – 1 x 4 year term (2025 – 2029)
  • North West Ward – 1 x 4 year term (2025 – 2029) and 1 x 2 year term (2025 – 2027)
  • South East Ward – 1 x 4 year term (2025 – 2029)
  • South West Ward – 1 x 4 year term (2025 – 2029)

While Local Government Elections are not compulsory, residents are encouraged vote.

Key dates

  • Candidate nominations open 28 August 2025
  • Candidate nominations close 4pm 4 September 2025
  • Elections packages (including ballot papers, candidate information and how-to-vote) sent in September 2025
