Works Notice: Ray Owen Oval Extension Project
Residents may see an increase in construction activity as part of the Ray Owen Oval Expansion Project.
The City of Kalamunda has awarded a construction contract to NewGround Water Services to replace and extend the existing oval areas to provide:
- Improved quality of playing surfaces
- Increased area of playing surfaces
- Sub surface drainage
- Enhanced field lighting
The upgrade should be complete and new surfaces ready for playing on in mid-2026.
The contractor is scheduled to begin transporting sand to the Ray Owen Oval site from Monday 12 January 2026.
What to expect:
- During this period residents may notice an increase in truck movements in the area.
- Temporary stockpiling of sand onsite.
Timing of works:
- Deliveries will commence on Monday 12 January 2026 and are expected to take up to 20 days.
- Standard work hours are Monday to Friday, 7am to 7pm.
- Residents will be notified should any out-of-hours works be required.
Impact of works:
During this time, there may be potential impacts such as dust and noise. These will be managed in accordance with the contractor’s approved site management plan, which outlines their responsibility to mitigate and control such effects.
