The City of Kalamunda’s new $6.6 million community centre at Jorgensen Park reached another milestone with its official opening by Premier of Western Australia Hon Mark McGowan, Federal Member for Hasluck Hon Ken Wyatt AM MP and Mayor Margaret Thomas JP last night.

The City of Kalamunda’s facilities, including libraries, halls and recreation centres, will re-open from Saturday, 6 February 2021, with interim restrictions in place to protect community and staff.

The City of Kalamunda will close all facilities effective from 6pm on Sunday, 31 January 2021 until further notice.

~~ UPDATED 10.05am: Walliston Transfer Station incident is now cleared and the Transfer Station will reopen in half an hour (10.35am).~~ Walliston Transfer Station will be closed this morning due to a small bin fire.

The City of Kalamunda have received a Noise Management Plan from the Kalamunda Pistol Club for review and approval.

Our Recreation Centre is scheduled to undergo electrical maintenance works between Monday, 1 February through to Wednesday, 3 February 2021 inclusive. During this time the Recreation Centre will have adjusted operating hours and group fitness classes have been affected.

The City of Kalamunda libraries are trialling extended opening hours for each location at least one evening a week from Monday, 18 January.

Residents, friends, family and visitors are invited to the City’s Australia Day Pool Party at Kalamunda Water Park with two-for-one entry from 9am to 6pm on Tuesday, 26 January.

The Kalamunda History Village is closed until further notice due to a fallen tree, which has impacted the post office building.

The Kalamunda Railway Heritage Trail – Perth Hills Trail Loop Stage 1 was officially opened today, 15 December 2020.
