Minister Joins City’s Reconciliation Talks

The Honourable Ben Wyatt MLA, Treasurer, Minister for Finance, Aboriginal Affairs, Lands joined City of Kalamunda staff and community members to review the City’s inaugural Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) on Monday 25 March in Lesmurdie.

New Refuge for High Wycombe Pedestrians

The City of Kalamunda has constructed a new pedestrian refuge on Kalamunda Road, between Abernethy Road and Stirling Crescent in High Wycombe. The works will conclude with new line-marking, which is scheduled to take place in April.

The City of Kalamunda is counting down the days to the 2019 annual Corymbia Multicultural Festival. Held from 2pm – 8pm on Saturday 9 March at Hartfield Park in Forrestfield, the Festival is one of the area’s biggest celebrations of multiculturalism.

City Encourages residents to get Active

The City of Kalamunda is calling on Community members to get active and join one of their local Friends Groups – or start their own! Friends Group volunteers assist the City to manage bushland reserves by removing weeds, treating plant diseases like Dieback, cleaning up sites, managing erosion and being our eyes and ears on the ground.

Over 300 people last week gathered at Kalamunda’s Zig Zag Gallery for the official exhibition opening of the 2018 Young Artist Awards. The works of 89 young creatives adorned the gallery’s walls, inspired by this year’s WA Youth Week theme “Illuminate - Djoondal Djoomba”.
