Held during November, a wide range of activities on offer for all senior residents in the City of Kalamunda.

In celebration of Seniors Week, The City of Kalamunda in partnership with Darling Range Hub, Community Bank Forrestfield and Woodlupine Family Centre, along with other community groups have organised many events.

NOTE: To attend some of these events, bookings may be required along with purchasing of a ticket. Please download the program for further details and contact information.

FREE Seniors Week Activities

The City’s Recreation Facilities Team are running these FREE activities for all seniors. We are also offering FREE appraisals for new Strength for Life members throughout the week.

Senior Residents Art Exhibition

A celebration of the creative talent, wisdom, and charm of our older local community!

This art exhibition is for senior residents over 55 living in the City of Kalamunda and features a diverse array of creative practices and themes.

No entry fee. All pieces must be for sale.

2024 Theme: Odysseys: A Group Exhibition for Older Artists in Kalamunda
Exhibition dates: 15 November to 8 December 2025

Official Opening: 4pm, Friday 14 November 2025
Venue: Zig Zag Gallery, 50 Railway Road, Kalamunda 6076

Learn about your rights as you age in this free Advocare session. Empowering seniors with information, choice, and confidence.

This session presented by Advocare, aims to provide information and awareness of people’s rights as they age and empower them to make considered and informed decisions for themselves. Advocare is the independent Peak Body for Seniors in WA. Their services are free, confidential and unbiased. Advocare aims to empower older people by giving them information and choice to make informed decisions to live the life they want on their terms.
A light morning tea will be provided at the event. Tickets are free, however bookings are essential.
