Talk to anyone at the 1st Walliston Scout Group and they will tell you that Maria Kelly is a dedicated role model for young people, deserving of recognition. The City of Kalamunda has recently completed three upgrade projects at Maida Vale Reserve relating to new sports lighting, resurfacing of the entrance road from Ridgehill Road and installation of a new retaining wall, footpath and fencing along the eastern oval.

Mayor calls for more amenity in National parks
The City of Kalamunda is calling for improvements to local National parks, following a series of complaints from residents and visitors. Gooseberry Hill National Park in the northern area of the City of Kalamunda, has no amenities provided, no marked walking trails, a lack of signage, limited car parking and no toilet facilities.

60 Million for State of the Art Recreation and Aquatic leisure Centre
The City of Kalamunda has welcomed an announcement by Federal Labor Shadow Minister for Infrastructure Catherine King in partnership with the State Minster for Transport and Planning Rita Saffioti and Swan candidate Zaneta Mascarenhas who have pledged 60 million dollars to build the long-awaited community recreational facilities.

Throwing Shade — Street Tree Partnership Adds Greenery to City
The City of Kalamunda, in partnership with the WA Local Government Association (WALGA) and the Water Corporation, has planted and established 253 trees as part of the Street Tree Project, with more trees to be planted as we head into the wetter part of the year.
