City Honours Mike Perry with Freeman of the City Award
The City of Kalamunda proudly announced Mike Perry as the recipient of the prestigious Freeman of the City award at the opening of the 2024 season of the Kalamunda Districts Junior Football Club.
In a heartfelt gesture further recognising Mike’s
contributions to the club and community, Mayor Margaret Thomas unveiled a sign
to be placed at the grounds naming the verandah as the Mike Perry Viewing
Platform. This dedication, alongside the Freeman of the City award, underscores
Mike's lasting impact on the local community and his pivotal role in enhancing
the club's infrastructure.
The ceremony, held at the club’s home ground - Kostera Oval, was a momentous occasion attended by members, community leaders, and club supporters.
Mike’s exceptional contributions to the Kalamunda district were praised during the presentation, highlighting his longstanding dedication to community development, sports, and volunteerism.
Mayor Thomas, in awarding the Freeman title, commended Mike for his unwavering commitment and significant impact on the local community over three decades.
