The City of Kalamunda invites guests to step into the past at the Kalamunda History Village Open Day on Sunday, 21April. This event promises a journey back in time with original buildings and artifacts from the early 1900s, including the town's inaugural post office and railway station.

Mayor Margaret Thomas expressed her excitement, saying, "What a fantastic way for our community to come together to appreciate our area's history. Don't miss this opportunity to connect with the past and create lasting memories with your family."

The Open Day, hosted at the Kalamunda History Village, 56 Railway Road, Kalamunda, will feature a range of attractions, including live entertainment, delightful offerings from local food vendors, engaging children's craft activities, a unique flora display at the plant stall, traditional craftsmanship demonstrations at the blacksmith display, nostalgic melodies, hidden treasures at the New To You stall, and an exploration of communication technology at the telephones display.  Additionally, visitors can purchase literature from the region's past at the Kalamunda Historical Society's book sale.

While admission to the Open Day is free, the City encourages a gold coin donation to support ongoing preservation efforts at the History Village. As Eftpos facilities will be limited, guests are advised to bring cash for purchases at the stalls.
