A Folkworld Fairbridge Festival Concert
Foghorn Stringband are the gold standard for genuine old-time American string band music that draws on old-time, bluegrass, classic country, and Cajun music traditions with unparalleled virtuosity and joy.
Touring from Portland, Oregon, they have performed thousands of shows over 15 years and forged an energetic sound like no other that is influencing a new generation of roots musicians following their lead.
The band features Caleb Klauder on rapid-fire mandolin, fiddle and vocals, Reeb Willms on vocals and acoustic guitar, Stephen Sammy Lind on fiddle, banjo and vocals, and Nadine Landry on bass and vocals.
Performing ‘old style’ around a single microphone, Foghorn Stringband will mesmerise you with their intense virtuosity and vocal harmonies.
The concert also features Australia’s favourite bluegrass band, Bluegrass Parkway, capturing the magic of the golden years of bluegrass. Bluegrass Parkway are celebrating their 35th anniversary and have toured extensively in the US, plus many folk, bluegrass, and country music festivals across Australia.
Brought to you by the FolkWorld Fairbridge Festival team, book early to avoid disappointment!
