The City of Kalamunda is excited to announce a new public artwork opportunity. In collaboration with the Woodlupine Family Centre Inc, the City of Kalamunda will be engaging with an artist to paint a mural on the Woodlupine Community Centre.
This public art project will focus on engaging young people in the local community to connect to arts and cultural activities in their neighbourhood. The City of Kalamunda will be providing support as part of the City’s commitment to the support and development of creativity as outlined in the City of Kalamunda Arts and Culture Strategy 2023–2028.

Artists must be 18 years and over to apply.
This public art opportunity is open to artists of any level based anywhere. Special consideration will be given to artists who have a connection to the local area (Forrestfield, City of Kalamunda).
All applications must be submitted online via email to zzgallery@kalamunda.wa.gov.au.
Creatives are encouraged to consider workshops, artist talks, and community engagement activities that will support their own creative practice and help strengthen their community connections.
On acceptance of the grant offer, successful artists will be awarded a grant of $20,000 paid in 2 separate instalments of $10,000. Artist fee includes cost of materials and workshop fees.
Artists must provide their bio and details of their art practice, project, and other activities plus images for promotional purposes to Council as requested. Copyright will remain with the artist, but reproduction of the images/material for non-commercial promotional purposes will be granted to Council.
