The City of Kalamunda is excited to announce AE Hoskins Building Services will deliver the female changeroom expansion project as part of the Ray Owen Pavilion and Oval upgrades.

The family-owned and operated business boasts a multi-generational legacy dating back to 1911 and specialises in new builds, refurbishments, fit outs, design and construct, and structural upgrades.

Mayor Margaret Thomas expressed her enthusiasm, stating, "We are making significant strides in improving our community facilities. The addition of female changerooms and a Universal Accessible Toilet (UAT) will cater to the needs of our growing football and cricket clubs. This represents a crucial step forward in fostering inclusivity and enhancing the overall experience for our community members.

“Construction of the new building extension, including the UAT fit-out, is expected to commence in the coming months.”

The City has allocated over $1.2 million in the 2023-2024 Budget to facilitate these essential upgrades which will better serve the local community and encourage new memberships.

Simultaneously, the City is in the process of reviewing the design improvements for Ray Owen Oval. Anticipated to be final early in the new year, the upgrades will pave the way for necessary enhancements to the oval.

"The Oval upgrade is an integral part of our comprehensive plan to revitalise community spaces,” Mayor Thomas said. “The final design will incorporate improvements that align with the needs of our residents, ensuring Ray Owen Reserve remains a hub for recreational activities and events."
