Great Eastern Highway Bypass Interchanges Project - Update
The Greater Connect Alliance will be installing a new watermain under Brinsmead Road and across Abernethy Road to Adelaide Street. These works are required in preparation for the upgrade of Abernethy Road between Great Eastern Highway Bypass and Kalamunda Road.
Out of hours works and road closures – March and April 2023
The Greater Connect Alliance will be installing a new watermain under Brinsmead Road and across Abernethy Road to Adelaide Street. These works are required in preparation for the upgrade of Abernethy Road between Great Eastern Highway Bypass and Kalamunda Road.
Works will include:
- Traffic management set up
- Excavation of trench
- Pipe installation
- Welding of pipe sections
- Backfill of excavated material
- Reinstatement of road
Traffic management removal
Traffic impacts
- From 8pm Friday, 10 March to 4am Monday, 13 March 2023 and 8pm Friday, 17 March to 4am Monday, 20 March 2023 - Brinsmead Road closed between Abernethy Road and Collopy Road
- From 8pm Friday, 24 March to 4am Monday, 27 March 2023 - Abernethy Road closed between Kalamunda Road and Ulm Place / Yagine Close roundabout. Signed detours will be in place, please refer Figure 1 for details
- From 6am Sunday, 2 April to 6pm Sunday, 2 April 2023 - Brinsmead Road closed between Abernethy Road and Collopy Road.
