This week the City of Kalamunda launched its Christmas Festival Events Program featuring a number of marquee events including concerts, markets, arts and crafts, film nights and story telling.

Mayor Margaret Thomas said the program provided something for everyone from families with young children to local youth to seniors and everyone in between.

“It's going to be an amazing few weeks celebrating our community and the spirit of giving,” Cr Thomas said.

“Christmas is a time for family and friends but for those who cannot be with their loved ones this year we hope the many activities listed in our program of events give you something to look forward to.”

The program kicks-off on 29 November with a ticketed Christmas Concert at the Kalamunda Performing Arts Centre (KPAC) headlined by the City of Perth Brass Band.

The program features a Bush Fairy Christmas at the Forrestfield Library on 4 December, Santa and Elf at the High Wycombe Library on 7 December and Christmas Storytime, Carols and Crafts at the Lesmurdie Library on 8 December.

Family favourite Polar Express will screen outdoors at the Maida Vale Primary School on 11 December and the much-loved Carols by Candlelight in Stirk Park returns 13 December.

Those looking for unusual Christmas gifts should check out the Kalamunda Artisan Christmas Market on 5 December and for those last-minute presents get along to the Kalamunda Christmas Night Market on 23 December.
