The City of Kalamunda’s Creative Writing and Digital Art Competition is open for entries from anyone studying, working or living in the area.
Submissions can be poetry, flash fiction, physical art or digital art.
This year’s theme for both art and written submissions is ‘the change’.
Entry is free and open to all ages in three categories – under 18, over 18 and over 55.
Submitted stories, poems and artwork may be featured in a published anthology plus the top submission in each category will also receive an assorted artist/writer prize pack.
Mayor Margaret Thomas said the competition provides a wonderful opportunity for people to hone their creative skills.
“This is a great opportunity for upcoming authors and artists to gain print exposure in a publication that will be distributed across the City,” Cr Thomas said.
Submissions close 5pm, 11 October 2020.
Full competition details, idea prompts and submission information is available *here or by emailing enquiries@kalamunda.wa.gov.au.
