
Tennis Success through Partnership
The City of Kalamunda is continuing its track record of success in supporting tennis in the community, by working with Tennis West to run open court sessions locally. The open court sessions program runs for eight weeks on different nights at different clubs across the City of Kalamunda.
Mayor Margaret Thomas said, “Open court sessions is a new and exciting modified version of tennis specially developed for first time players or those who have not played for a long time.”
“Open court sessions are an inclusive social activity for the community to have fun, exercise, meet new people and get involved with a sport that you will be able to play for life.”
“Grab a bunch of friends and family or even ask your work social club to get involved in this fun activity. Places will be limited so best to register now.”
Range View Park Tennis Club will be providing all the equipment, entertainment, food and training. Interested community members just need to ensure they have registered their place and have comfortable clothing and shoes.
Everyone is welcome to attend Range View Park Tennis Club, Swan Road, High Wycombe, Thursday, evening from 6:30pm to 8:00pm commencing 23 January 2020 (initially for 8 consecutive weeks). It is a cost of $15 per player per session which includes light refreshments after the session.

The City has a strong track record of supporting local clubs and took out the Local Government category at the 2019 Western Australian Tennis Industry Awards. The gong recognises the City’s important role in growing participation, club development and infrastructure planning within the region and its proactive relationship with both Tennis West and Tennis Australia.

The award recognised the City’s ongoing commitment to supporting tennis across our community by ensuring quality participation opportunities and facilities are available for new and established enthusiasts.
