Bushland Fire Services Access Gates – Prohibited Parking Zone
The City of Kalamunda has issued a timely reminder to residents and visitors that parking in front of all white fire service access gates at reserves and near entrances to national parks is illegal.
The prompt comes on the back of critical safety concerns raised following members of the public parking their cars in these areas blocking vital access.
Immediate and free access through fire service access gates is needed at all times to ensure a quick response to a bushfire emergency.
Drivers are also reminded when parking in the City to leave space for fire hydrant access.
