Roe Highway and Kalamunda Road Interchange
This $86 million Roe Highway and Kalamunda Road intersection project is part of State and Federal Government package of road and rail infrastructure works and is scheduled to commence construction shortly.
This project involves construction of a grade-separated intersection at the Roe Highway and Kalamunda Road intersection including a new bridge, two roundabouts and on and off ramps.
Kalamunda Road is likely to flow over Roe Highway. This will minimise noise and visual intrusion for the surrounding residential area.
A shared path is included on the eastern side of the highway and on Kalamunda Road, with local links provided for pedestrians and cyclists.
New drainage, street lighting and other supplementary works will complete the interchange.
Traffic management will soon be active in the area and as such current traffic flow will be impacted. It is advised to keep updated and aware of any traffic notifications to avoid possible delays. Further details of scheduled works and traffic management notifications can be found on the MainRoadsWA website.
The project is scheduled to be completed in early 2021.
