Community Workshop: Haynes Street Upgrade Project

Come along to have your say on the Haynes Street Upgrade Project at our Community Workshop. Be a part of shaping the future of Kalamunda's 'High Street on the Hill'. You will have the chance to hear from the Design Architects Place Laboratory and to provide your thoughts on each part of the draft Haynes Street Concept. All interested community members are invited to attend. Registrations are essential.
The City of Kalamunda has allocated funding to undertake a detailed design for Haynes Street in the 2022/2023 financial year. The Haynes Street upgrade marks the continuation of the 10-year vision for the Kalamunda Town Centre coming to life.
The City invites your comment on the Draft Concept Plan for Haynes Street. The main features of the draft Concept Plan include:
- Re-establishing Haynes Street as a clearly identifiable ‘high street’ connecting to the greater Kalamunda Town Centre.
- Improving pedestrian safety and connectivity, including safer parking for cyclists and people with a disability.
- Provide a pleasant environment for residents and visitors to enjoy, with shade, rest stops, weather protection and wider footpaths.
- Enhancing and strengthening local business opportunities.
