24 March 2021 : 6:30 PM - 24 March 2021 : 8:30 PM
This ultimate workshop series delivers a two-part workshop to help local clubs recruit and retain members. Proudly delivered by the City of Kalamunda and Ben Armstrong, Founder Amazing Clubs.
The workshop is not to be missed and is created to wow summer, winter and annual sports alike.
This workshop will help clubs clarify who they are seeking to recruit as members and how to get the job done. Clubs will develop a simple marketing promise that will guide the committee to identify and easily recruit members. Clubs will explore a range of proven promotional methods and look at how to create engaging online content to attract new members. Clubs will learn proven strategies to increase member retention and better yet use existing members to recruit new members.
This workshop will also explore the immense value that existing members offer and branch out briefly into recruiting volunteers and improving the club’s bottom line. By the end of the workshop clubs will be able to identify and position themselves as the perfect offering within the Kalamunda community.- Workshop 1: Member Recruitment & Retention

The second workshop is where the magic happens. Clubs will consider all the barriers preventing people from joining and then focus on unleashing your inner creativity to develop a new concept. This concept may be a modified program for a new market or enhancing the product offerings for existing members. Ben Armstrong, President of the Huntingdale Huskies Athletics Club, will share his incredible story of challenging the status quo, engaging a cohort of kids who’d never played club sport before and through the process built a financially successful club all within a few months. Creating something new and amazing is possible. Now it’s your turn. This workshop should not be missed.
