Workshop: Great Cocky Count
25 February 2021 : 6:00 PM - 25 February 2021 : 8:00 PM
Learn how to get the most out of this fun annual event! Every year the Great Cocky Count counts as many white-tailed and red-tailed black cockatoos as possible across Western Australia on a single night.
In the lead up to this year’s annual event on Sunday 28 March, the City of Kalamunda in partnership with BirdLife Australia are running a workshop to help you get involved.
At this workshop you will learn about Black Cockatoo conservation, the aims of the Great Cocky Count and how to identify cockatoos in the wild. All Residents, friends and family members are invited to register for this informative workshop where you can learn more about the habits of these birds in their local reserves.
More information about the Great Cocky Count is available via Birdlife Aust website: birdlife.org.au/events/cockywatch
The Great Cocky Count is supported through funding from The Alcoa Foundation.
