Perth Hills Tourism Alliance Triumphs with Gold at 2024 Perth Airport WA Tourism Awards

15 November 2024 10:41 AM

The Perth Hills Tourism Alliance has achieved remarkable success, winning Gold at the prestigious 2024 Perth Airport WA Tourism Awards. Announced at a gala event held at Crown Perth, this award celebrates the Alliance’s outstanding achievements in promoting the Perth Hills as a premier destination for both local and international visitors.

The Perth Hills Tourism Alliance is a collaborative effort between five local governments: the City of Kalamunda, City of Armadale, Shire of Mundaring, Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale, and City of Swan (Gidgegannup). Working in close partnership with local businesses, and regional and state tourism bodies, the Alliance has successfully driven brand awareness and increased visitation to the Perth Hills region.

City of Kalamunda Mayor Margaret Thomas highlighted the significance of this achievement, stating, “The Gold award recognises the extraordinary collaboration and commitment of the Perth Hills Tourism Alliance in showcasing our region’s natural beauty, vibrant communities, and unique experiences. It’s a proud moment for all involved, and we are thrilled to see the Perth Hills shine as a must-visit destination.”

The Alliance has achieved significant milestones under the Experience Perth Hills brand, establishing the Perth Hills as a leading destination for nature lovers, adventure seekers, and food and wine enthusiasts. This brand has successfully promoted the region’s scenic trails, seasonal waterfalls, award-winning wineries, and popular dining experiences.

The Perth Hills Tourism Alliance’s Gold award win is a testament to the passion, innovation, and collaboration that have transformed the Perth Hills into a destination of choice.
