Wattle Grove is about to get a whole lot more tail-waggingly wonderful! The suburb’s first-ever community-led dog park is officially on its way, thanks to the passion and teamwork of local residents and a paws-itively exciting collaboration between the City of Kalamunda and Town Team Movement.
The idea was sparked by residents Naomi, Sandy and Michael, who presented their vision to Council in March 2025. Their dream? A space where dogs can play and neighbours can connect.
That dream began taking shape at the Design Day on Saturday 25 October 2025 at Lenihan Corner, Wattle Grove, where the community came together to sketch out their ideal dog park.
Now, the real fun begins! Build Day is happening on Saturday 8 November from 10am–2pm, where locals will roll up their sleeves to help bring the park to life.
The official Grand Opening is set for Saturday 22 November, and everyone (two-legged and four-legged alike) is invited to celebrate!
The initiative is part of the City’s commitment to empowering local ideas through its newly established Place to Space team, which supports collaborative, community-led projects.
