Located in the heart of Kalamunda, the Zig Zag Gallery is known for celebrating diverse voices and artforms.
The 2026 program is open to artists across all contemporary practices including painting, textiles, photography, performance, installation, and new media.
As part of the callout, applicants may also nominate for the Zig Zag Cultivate Award—a special initiative offering in-kind gallery hire and a $1,000 artist honorarium.
The award supports inclusive, accessible, and representative exhibitions, and is open to all artists, with encouragement for applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists, LGBTQIA+ artists, artists with disabilities, and those from culturally diverse backgrounds.
Three Cultivate Award recipients will be selected based on artistic quality, demonstrated need, and commitment to representation.
Applications close Monday 23 June 2025.
