About this Opportunity

As Coordinator Infrastructure Planning, you will lead the strategic planning, development and delivery of the City's infrastructure and asset management programs. Working collaboratively across the organisation, you will drive long-term capital planning, asset management initiatives, grant funding opportunities and infrastructure investment strategies to ensure sustainable, community-focused outcomes. This is a key leadership role responsible for shaping the City's future infrastructure while balancing community needs, organisational priorities and financial sustainability. 

Key Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead the development and coordination of the City's long-term infrastructure and asset management planning.
  • Manage the preparation and delivery of the capital works program and associated budgets.
  • Drive strategic asset management initiatives that support sustainable service delivery and community outcomes.
  • Coordinate grant funding opportunities and oversee the preparation of high-quality funding submissions.
  • Provide expert advice and recommendations on infrastructure planning, investment and asset management.
  • Develop and maintain frameworks, strategies and policies that support informed infrastructure decision-making.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders, community members and industry partners to identify and deliver infrastructure priorities.
  • Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing Infrastructure Planning team.
  • Monitor performance, identify continuous improvement opportunities and ensure the effective delivery of services and projects.

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Possession of a Civil Engineering degree, equivalent tertiary qualification, or substantial (5 years) relevant experience.
  • Diploma/Professional Certificate in Asset Management or equivalent experience.
  • Possession of a construction White Card.
  • A satisfactory National Police Certificate
  • Applicants must have the right to work in Australia. In addition, applications requesting work sponsorship will not be considered.

Hours of Work

This is a permanent full-time role working Monday to Friday, 75 hours over a 9-day fortnight with a rostered day off.

About the Benefits

This position offers a salary of Level 9 being $122,005 – $129,864 per annum, plus superannuation.
