About this Opportunity
As the Coordinator Community Safety, you will lead the City’s Community Safety and Emergency Management functions, ensuring programs, services and initiatives align with the City’s vision, Corporate Business Plan and strategic objectives. The role is responsible for operational planning, budget management, policy development and identifying funding opportunities, while delivering innovative community safety programs that enhance the wellbeing, resilience and safety of the community.
Providing expert advice and recommendations to Management, the Executive Leadership Team, Council and Advisory Committees, you will play a key role in supporting informed decision-making on Community Safety and Emergency Management matters. Drawing on your knowledge of legislative requirements, industry best practice and emerging risks, you will contribute to the achievement of strategic and operational objectives while building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders through the delivery of professional customer service and technical expertise.

Hours of Work
This is a permanent full-time role working Monday to Friday, 75 hours over a 9-day fortnight with a rostered day off.
About the Benefits
This position offers a salary of Level 9 being $122,005 – $129,864 per annum, plus superannuation.
