About this Opportunity

The Customer Relations Officer – Engineering and Parks Maintenance plays a vital support role by delivering high-quality customer service, administrative coordination, and operational assistance to the Engineering and Parks Maintenance Business Unit. The position acts as a key communication link between internal staff, supervisors, contractors, service authorities, and members of the community, ensuring enquiries, requests, and operational matters are managed in a professional, timely, and customer-focused manner.

Working closely with the Manager, Coordinator, and Supervisors, the role is responsible for supporting the efficient delivery of services through the coordination of administrative processes, records management, financial administration, work scheduling support, and operational documentation.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Experience preparing professional correspondence, reports, and operational documentation.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping, data entry, and financial administration.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
  • Experience managing customer enquiries and providing timely solutions and follow-up.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Experience processing purchase orders, invoices, and administrative financial tasks.
  • Previous experience in administration, customer service, local government, engineering, or operational support environments.
  • Formal qualification in Business Administration or a related discipline relevant to the responsibilities of the role.

Hours of Work

This is a fixed term contract until July 2027 working full time (75 hours per fortnight) Monday to Friday, with option of a 9-day fortnight.

About the Benefits

This position offers a salary ranging from $78,184 – $83,302 per annum, depending on experience and skill level, plus superannuation.
