About this Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to take a leading role in shaping the Kalamunda library experience. As a Community Librarian, you will be at the heart of a vibrant public space, delivering programs, events, and services that engage, educate, and inspire the local community.

About You

  • Experienced and confident leader with the ability to inspire, guide, and support a diverse team
  • Highly organized and strategic, with skills in budget management, expenditure monitoring, and report preparation to support decision-making
  • Provides constructive feedback, encourages professional growth, and fosters a safe, positive, and inclusive workplace where staff feel valued and motivated
  • Demonstrated ability in effective team management, with a proactive approach to workplace safety and operational improvements
  • Strong understanding of public library operations, including current trends, legislation, and best practices
  • Experienced in planning, developing, and delivering library programs, events, and services that respond to community needs and align with broader strategic objectives

Hours of Work

This is a permanent full-time position, working Monday to Friday, 75 hours over a fortnight with an option for fortnightly RDO.

About the Benefits

This position offers a salary of Level 6 being $93,063 – $100,087 per annum, (depending on experience and skill level) plus superannuation.
