After the Fire: Community Check-in

Join us for a sausage sizzle and interactive session to walk through what happened during the recent bushfire in Kalamunda on New Year's Day. The session will cover how agencies responded, and what steps are being taken moving forward.
Residents will have the opportunity to share your experiences and insights so we can continue improving local safety and preparedness and help us learn, prepare, and strengthen our resilience together.
Representatives from the City of Kalamunda, Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES), and partner agencies will cover:
- The bushfire event and how the response unfolded
- Impacts on residents, services, and local infrastructure
- Key learnings and planned improvements
- Practical ways to stay informed, prepared, and connected
- Date: Saturday 21 March 2026
