Discover Lesmurdie's Birds: A Talk, a Walk, and the Aussie Bird Count
16 October 2024 : 3:15 PM - 16 October 2024 : 5:15 PM
Develop your bird-watching skills with local bird enthusiasts, Mike and Rachel Green.
Whether it's the Scarlet Robin, Red-tailed Black Cockatoo, or White-cheeked Honeyeater, you'll gain confidence in identifying Lesmurdie’s birdlife by their calls, appearance, and behaviour. Discover where to spot them—from tree canopy to forest floor—with expert tips on how to find these beautiful birds.
The event begins with a presentation where you can practise bird identification. Afterwards, join Mike and Rachel for a guided bird walk along a flat forest track within Korung National Park, and help log the birds for the Aussie Bird Count.
