Cub Scout Leader wins Local Hero Award

Talk to anyone at the 1st Walliston Scout Group and they will tell you that Maria Kelly is a dedicated role model for young people, deserving of recognition. Maria received that recognition last week as she was awarded a City of Kalamunda Local Heroes award for her outstanding contribution as a Cub Leader.

Maida Vale Reserve Upgrades hit major milestone

The City of Kalamunda has recently completed three upgrade projects at Maida Vale Reserve relating to new sports lighting, resurfacing of the entrance road from Ridgehill Road and installation of a new retaining wall, footpath and fencing along the eastern oval.

Local Hero Bruce Glover: Innovator, Educator and Conservation Volunteer

Bruce Glover, an active volunteer member of the Hugh Sanderson Reserve and Ray Owen Reserve Friends Groups for over 20 years was awarded one of the City of Kalamunda’s Senior Local Community Hero Awards at their recent National Volunteer Week Cultural Burning event.
