The City of Kalamunda has announced that the slides at Kalamunda Water Park will be closed for the 2022/2023 season, with structural maintenance works to be undertaken in preparation for the 2023/2024 season. The park will remain open, with new inflatable attractions on offer throughout the season.

Magnolia Way Reserve is being upgraded to create a vibrant multi-purpose all abilities outdoor space which connects park users with the surrounding natural environment and offers contemporary facilities for all park users. Comments close 5pm on Friday, 16 December 2022.

Tireless. Giving. Dedicated. Donovan Village President Fran West is the latest winner of a City of Kalamunda Local Hero Award. As president of the village, Fran dedicates much of her time to her fellow residents, supporting a whole host of events at the village and hostel, offering a helping hand to anyone who needs it, and improving the lives of those around her.

As you may be aware the City received an application for a childcare premises at the above-mentioned site. As part of the application the proposal sought to utilise a portion of the reserve as an outdoor play area. 2021 marked the 150th anniversary of the first roads boards and municipalities, an important step in the creation of a comprehensive system of local government for Western Australia. The City of Kalamunda started its life as the Darling Range Road Board in 1897.
