Have Your Say: Proposed four month road closure Western end of Adelaide Street, High Wycombe

13 June 2022 4:00 PM

The City of Kalamunda invites public comment on the proposed closure of the western end of Adelaide Street, west of the Stirling Crescent intersection. This notice is issued in accordance with the Local Government Act Section 3.50.

It is proposed that the road be closed to facilitate the expansion of the road from Stirling Crescent to Abernethy Road. The road will be constructed by the Greater Connect Alliance (GCA) as part of the Great Eastern Highway Bypass Interchanges project.

All enquiries on the project should be directed to Main Roads WA on 138 138 or via the www.mainroads.wa.gov.au website.

Once construction is completed, Adelaide Street will be reopened to provide for all traffic, expanding to include Restricted Access Vehicles (RAV) to level 7 (a.k.a. road trains). The RAV access will be limited to Adelaide Street west of Stirling Crescent, and Stirling Crescent north of Adelaide Street.
