Walliston Primary Students get Hands-on Conservation Experience

Students at Walliston Primary School were treated to a visit from Simon Cherriman and Danielle Crichton from Re-cycology this term to install a cockatube, donated by the City of Kalamunda, in one of the school’s Marri trees.

STRINGS Comes to KPAC

S.T.R.I.N.G.S. is a string quartet which really has gone rogue in a story from behind the scenes, in a domain never usually seen by the public: the rehearsal room! With one show only on Saturday 16 April at the Kalamunda Performing Arts Centre, punters are being encouraged to get their tickets quick.

Name proposed for new park

The City of Kalamunda has endorsed, for public advertising, a proposal to name the park bordered by Koda Mews and Crimson Boulevard in Forrestfield Noel Morich Park. The request was from Noel’s family and considered under the City’s recently adopted policy on the naming of Parks, Reserves, Streets and Infrastructure. The proposal is now open for community feedback.

Works have now commenced at Stirk Park Lake which has seen the need to drain the lake, and with the care of the locals a top priority the City enlisted the help of Mike and Mandy Bamford of Bamford Consulting Ecologists to relocate a group of Snake Necked Turtles this week.
