Community Funding Programs

Supporting individuals and community groups through a wide range of funding opportunities.

Local residents and community groups are invited to apply for funding through the City of Kalamunda’s many financial assistance programs.

The Community Funding Programs are a one-off contribution to assist local community groups and individuals to deliver projects that:

  • Increase community participation and involvement within the City of Kalamunda
  • Build the skills and knowledge of association and/or community members
  • Increase volunteering pride and/ or celebrate the diversity within our community

Individual support

Kalamunda Sports Awards

Recognises the achievement of local athletes who have represented their state or country in their chosen sport. 
Junior under 18 up to $250, Senior 18 - 25 up to $150.

  • Round 1: Closes 31 October
  • Round 2: Closes 31 March

Student Citizenship Awards

Recognises students from primary schools and high schools located within the City of Kalamunda.

The award is presented to a student who has made an outstanding contribution or demonstrated strong leadership skills within the community. Students are presented with a $40 gift voucher. Nominations are sought from local schools who are invited to nominate an outstanding student. 

KidSport

Enables eligible children aged 5 to 18 years to participate in community sport and recreation by offering them financial assistance towards club fees.

  • Junior 5 - 18 named on a valid Health Care Card or Pensioner Concession Card up to $300 per year.
  • Open year round

Group Support

Capital Grants Program

Assists local City of Kalamunda sporting clubs in their efforts to upgrade or develop facilities.

  • Stage One - Expression of Interest: Closes 30 September

      Sport and Community Development

      Supports local sport and recreation groups to implement initiatives that extend and support the level of participation, and increase the number and variety of activities available.

      • Up to $1,000
      • Round 1: Opens 1 September, Closes 31 October
      • Round 2: Opens 1 February, Closes 31 March
