Q1. How do I renew my books?
Answer:

You can renew items you have on loan by clicking on the renew items link on the library webpage.
Under borrower details enter your library barcode number.  A list of your current loans will appear.
Click renew on the right hand side of the title.

This option is only offered if items are not already overdue.

Please note: Items on loan can only be renewed if they are not overdue, have not exceeded the number of times it can be renewed, and are not reserved by another borrower.
If your items are overdue and you are unable to renew online, please contact your local library

Q2. Can I use a computer at the library?
Answer:
You can book up to 7 days in advance for the Internet or Word Processor. 
Internet access can be booked for up to one hour per day.
Bookings can be made in person at any Shire of Kalamunda Library or by telephone.

Q4. Do the libraries run story time sessions?
Answer:
Pre-school story time sessions are run at all Shire of Kalamunda Libraries during school terms.
§    No bookings are required for story time
§    Sessions run for around 40 minutes.
The table below outlines the days and times for preschool story time.

Q5. Can I print from library computers?
Answer:
Printing is available from the library computers.
Printing costs are outlined below:
Black and white            20c per page
Colour                          $1 per page

Q6. I have changed my address
Answer:
If you have changed address since joining the library you must take some identification into the library with your name and new address.

Notifying the library of your new address helps us make sure that any notifications for reservations or overdue items reach you as efficiently as possible. 

Q7. I can’t find my library card
Answer:
If you have lost your library card, you must notify the library immediately so a 'stop' can be placed on your card to prevent misuse.

To replace a lost card, a fee of $4.20 applies. To receive a replacement card you must go in person to a library with some identification which has your name and current address. 

Q8. How do I join the library?
Answer:
Membership to the Shire of Kalamunda libraries is open to everyone.
To become a library member you must present identification showing your name and current address. This could include:
§   Drivers License
§   Pension Card
§   Council Rates Notice
§   Utility Bill
 A parent or guardian must be present for joining members under 18 years of age.

Q9. Do the Libraries have WI-FI connection available?
Answer:
Yes, three of our Libraries offers free WiFi. To use this service you will need to agree to the Terms and Conditions before connecting. Read more about our WiFi service
