Disability Services


We endeavour to provide a diverse range of services to allow all our members to join our community! All our libraries provide the following facilities:

  • wheelchair access;
  • Vision / Hearing: Large print and audio CD options available on a wide selection of fiction and non-fiction books;
  • Limited Mobility? we provide a House-Bound Service - click here for brochure and application form;
  • DVDs with audio description and closed captions.

ClearView Desktop Magnifier

The ClearView desktop magnifier is a powerful magnification solution for visually impaired people including those with macular degeneration and is freely available for use at our Kalamunda Library.

Activ Library

Activ Library is a major library for the disability sector in WA. Partly funded by the Disability Services Commission, the library collection (over 8,000 items) has a strong focus on intellectual disability and autism, as well as resources on other disabilities, developmental delay and learning difficulties. Resources are suitable for parents, families, carers, people with a disability, teachers and staff working in the disability field.
