Residents can dispose of  items listed below at the Red Hill Waste Management Facility.
FREE - up to 20 litres or 20 kilograms of household hazardous waste ONLY
Proof of address (rates notice / utility bill) is required.

Household hazardous waste accepted at Red Hill includes:

  • Acid
  • Asbestos (NOT FREE and also requires notification ahead of arriving for disposal)
  • Automotive fluids (coolant, brake fluid)
  • Batteries - car, truck and household batteries
  • Bleach
  • Car care products
  • Chemicals, pesticides & herbicides
  • Flammable liquids
  • Flares
  • Fluorescent lights
  • Gas cylinders
  • Old art supplies
  • Paint
  • Paint thinners
  • Poisons
  • Pool chemicals
  • Pressurized gas cylinders
  • Scheduled poisons S2-S7
  • Solvents

NOTE: Red Hill Waste Management is NOT free of charge for residents to dispose of other waste types. There are charges associated with disposing of other non-hazardous waste materials at this facility. Please contact this facility for further information - contact information is provided below.
