Claiming an impounded animal from the City of Kalamunda's Animal Management Facility incurs scheduled fees and charges.

Before the Animal can be released, proof of ownership is required.
The City of Kalamunda do not rehome animals directly from the Animal Management Facility (Pound). Accredited rehoming agencies are used for unclaimed animals.
To claim an animal from the City of Kalamunda which has no identification or the details are not current, you will be asked to provide proof of ownership in a way of a receipt/ photographs/ previous registration details or alternatively you can sign a statutory declaration stating you are the owner of the animal.
