Total Fire Ban and Harvest & Vehicle Movement Ban issued for Saturday 9 November
THIS NOTICE HAS EXPIRED - DFES has advised a total fire ban for residents in the City of Kalamunda for Saturday 9 November. In addition, the City has declared a Harvest & Vehicle Movement ban on Saturday 9 November from 8:00am to 7:00pm. Further advice may be issued after this time.
Activities not permitted during the Harvest & Vehicle Movement ban:
- Harvesting operations
- Other – use or operation of any engine, vehicle, plant, equipment or machinery in the area likely to cause a bush fire or contribute to the spread of a bush fire
- Any “hot works” (e.g. welding, grinding, cutting, heating etc) in the open air

Due to the total fire ban, the Walliston Transfer Station will be closed Saturday 9 November.
Residents should stay vigilant and think about their bushfire preparedness as the potential for bushfire activity increases as the weather heats up.
In the event of a fire, residents should call 000 immediately.
