
Extension of Prohibited Burning Period
Bush Fire Act 1954
Please be advised that pursuant to Section 17 of the Bush Fires Act 1954, the PROHIBITED BURNING PERIOD for the City of Kalamunda have been extended for fourteen (14) days from midnight on the 31st of MARCH 2019 until midnight on the 14th of APRIL 2019 inclusive.
This extension period is due to soil dryness above the 5 year average and seasonal conditions. The Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions Hills District (DBCA) Hills District office has been consulted and is in agreeance to the extension. This extension period has also been issued for neighbouring councils of Mundaring and Armadale.
