Parenting Month: Raising Children with the Arts

17 January 2023 : 10:00 AM - 17 January 2023 : 11:00 AM

Kalamunda Library invite you to one of the FREE parenting workshops as part of Libraries inaugural Parenting Month series.

Children benefit in so many ways from experiencing and participating in the arts, and these benefits can last a lifetime. Branwen Smith’s long career in the arts has included working as a classical musician, instrument teacher and facilitator of arts events and activities in both the performing and visual arts. She is currently the Programming and Engagement Lead at Kalamunda Performing Arts Centre. Throughout it all, she has worked with a passion for the importance of engaging children and their families in the arts.

In this workshop, Branwen will explain the benefits of the arts for children. She will explore the different ways the arts can become a much-loved part of your children’s lives, and how to keep that love alive all the way through to adulthood.
