Film night: 'In My Own Words'

September 4^th is Indigenous Literacy Day and we encourage you to join us in the evening at High Wycombe Library for a screening of the powerful documentary film 'In My Own Words'.

The focus of the documentary is on a classroom in Brewarinna, a rural northwest NSW town with a majority Aboriginal population. Filming every day of the 13-week Literacy for Life Foundation course, director Erica Glynn captures the women and men, hardship and resilience, friendship and humour behind the sobering statistics of illiteracy in Aboriginal adults.
