The City of Kalamunda is inviting all members of the community, young and old, to get out, active and connected to their local community with a free ‘Connecting Communities’ event Thursday 18 July at Hartfield Park Recreation Centre between 10am to 1pm.

City Seeks Vision for Community Space

The City of Kalamunda is asking the community to put forward their vision for a vacant site on the corner of Pomeroy and Canning Road. The site, located on the borders of Lesmurdie, Walliston and Carmel, is an old orchard, which was then utilised by the Water Corporation and is currently owned by the State Government.

Local Hero Awarded to three champions for the environment

Three residents have been awarded the monthly Local Hero Award for May for their outstanding contribution to both the community and the environment. The City of Kalamunda in partnership with Bendigo Bank, run the Local Hero of the Month Award with a deserving nominee selected each month.

The City of Kalamunda is providing public notice of a repeal of Local Law relating to Pest Plants pertaining to Shire of Kalamunda Pest Plant By-laws 1979. The purpose and eff ect of the repealThe purpose of this local law is to repeal an obsolete local law. The eff ect of the proposed local law is that the obselete local law will be revoked and abrogated.

Total Fire Ban - 6 June 2019

Pursuant to powers delegated under the Bush Fires Act 1954, the Assistant Commissioner of the Department of Fire and Emergency Services, declared under Section 22A of the Bush Fires Act 1954, a total fire ban for 6 June 2019. All Burning Permits are invalid for 6 June 2019. No burning of garden refuse or fires in the open air is permitted. This includes fire pits and 1mᶟ piles after 1800hrs.
