Kalamunda Community Gardens
The Kalamunda Community Garden is located at the historic Headingley Hill House, at 8 Lindsay Street, Kalamunda. The City of Kalamunda provides the space for the community to develop a self managed sustainable garden for the benefit of the community. The objectives of the Kalamunda Community Garden include learning how to protect the natural environment, conserve resources, and lead a healthy and active lifestyle while making friendships with other members of your community. All ages are welcomed and members provide input and ideas.
Great Gardens regularly hold workshops across the state, most are free and they are designed to be informative, fun and provide participants with real gardening and environmental advice suitable for all property sizes. Topics can include; gardens that are Waterwise and nutrient wise, attracting wildlife, healthy soils, planting for shading and cooling, and how to grow nutritious and delicious food.
